SIS 44 ERTICO City Moonshot: Experiences of cities on their mobility challenges

Session Organiser: Lidia Buenavida Peña, ERTICO, Spain The objective of the session is to share the experiences the cities and regions have on mobility topics. During the session we will present the results of the City Moonshot initiative. The initiative aims to understand the cities and regions needs, requirements and challenges on mobility through a series of interviews. The target of the City Moonshot is to connect with 300 cities worldwide, and we have already engaged 194. During the session Lidia Buenavida from ERTICO will present relevant results collected from the interviews on topics such as Sustainability, Mobility as a Service, Electric mobility, and Urban Air mobility. One of the cities that participated in the initiative, Ras al Khaimah (tbc), will present some of their challenges in transport as well as share some inputs about the Urban Air Mobility topic. The host of the Congress, Dubai (tbc), will also share some lessons learnt from their journey to a more sustainable and innovative mobility (bike lanes). Last but not least, ERTICO’s partner SWARCO will present their GOGREEN initiative, that works to support the goals of the European Green Deal.
