This session will talk about the fundamental issues of traffic congestion, emission and transport safety that has been on the top of the agenda for any cities and yet we have not been able to solve them or effectively address them. This is even worse for developing countries considering the lack of investment in ITS infrastructure. AI and data creates an enormous opportunity to address these issues once for all. It is important to realise the current tools (traditional modelling) we have been using are not fit for the purpose and they are part of the problem. In this session we will discuss why we need to adopt AI for transport management.
